A Garage Cleanout Checklist for Paint, Batteries, Tools, and Bulky Items
A garage is rarely one kind of load. Separate ordinary household items from chemicals, batteries, fuel, sharp tools, and equipment before the main removal path opens.

A garage is rarely one kind of load. Separate ordinary household items from chemicals, batteries, fuel, sharp tools, and equipment before the main removal path opens.
Start with the exception shelf
Put paint, solvents, pesticides, propane cylinders, fuel, batteries, and unknown containers in one visible review area. Do not mix leaking or reactive materials.
Protect tools and keep items
Label the shelves that stay. Small hardware and hand tools disappear easily inside open boxes, so close and mark them before bulky items move.
Clear the route
Move vehicles, hoses, cords, and loose floor items. Measure the widest bulky item against the narrowest doorway or gate.
Take useful photos
Photograph each wall, the floor pile, and any large equipment. Include the path to the driveway so access can be considered with volume.
